Ticket Donations

Do you have tickets to donate? Thank you!

Please adhere to the following requirements:
- Remove the tickets for sale from any site you have them listed on.
- Once you donate the ticket, you do not ask for it back, regardless of the reason. See below.*
- Determine whether you wish to remain anonymous to the recipient.
- Send me an email [askdonna AT brucefunds DOT org] with the show date, ticket details and confirm above. I will reply by email, so be on the watch for this.

NOTE This is not a ticket exchange. This is 100% donation-driven by fans. You cannot buy your way to a PIT ticket or some fantasy meet & greet with your favorite musician - as if I would even have access to those things, yet I am asked for this all the time. Also, NO RETURNS and no, your donation is not tax deductible. Sorry Charlie.

*As a Result of the Rescheduling of 2023

I've always given my extra tickets away. When others heard about my efforts starting in 2012, my only goal was to inspire others to do the same with their extra ticket. And I believe I accomplished that goal because people have told me they now give tickets away themselves.

However, 11 years later, Bruce Funds is also absolutely a virtual dumping ground where people cast off their unwanted tickets rather than have them go unused. It's a subtle difference of intent on the donor's part, and I never really minded. I was proud to take tickets no one valued and make another's dream come true with them, often at the last possible moment.

These efforts took tremendous energy, and I often only felt rewarded if the ticket recipient reported back after the show. Their joy would be everything.

Enter the Massive Rescheduling of 2023. Through no fault of any fan, many shows were postponed and rescheduled. Most of us held our collective breath waiting for those new dates. What I didn't anticipate was how many ticket donors would expect their tickets returned to them so they could be refunded money.

 (continued)

It's simply not possible nor acceptable to do this with many other gestures of kindness and charity, so why would it be in this case? I've said no in many cases, and I will continue to say no.

As for the tickets that had been donated via the MLB ballpark app: they all disappeared completely back to their original owners and I am working to supply the fans I've already committed to receive new tickets. This is double the work and zero the joy.

Please give your extra last minute tickets away yourself whenever possible. Plenty of service-oriented labor forces in each tour city would be happy to accept your tickets - as long as you don't ask for them back! You don't want to do the legwork yourself? Well, that's your problem. I'm done working with people who feel this is a one-way street of selfishness and I'm just the junkman.

And the moment you do agree to donate a ticket is the moment that decision is final. No matter what happens regarding the show. So, if you're donating your ticket to me, don't ask for it back. The answer will be no.

Monetary Donations

No, I do not buy tickets from or for fans. Many supporters say to me that they do not have tickets to donate and cannot or do not want to form a group of supporters to raise funds to purchase tickets to donate.

Many supporters simply wish to offer monetary donations, and while I am always grateful, I no longer ask people to donate money. You can buy tickets and donate them.

Any funds that are donated go to help offset a ticket recipient's additional costs for their night out. Transportation, parking, child care, a meal, possible merchandise. Our recipients are experiencing a night they only previously dreamt about; we do try to make it as memorable and stress-free as possible for them.

People wondering about my time and efforts should be assured that all of my time is 100% volunteer-based. The website costs have been nearly $1,000 in 2023. I had to increase security recently, and storage of emails and photos has increased so much. Thank you.

If outside the USA, use PayPal.
Please remember, they take a fee out of whatever you donate.
